Application Note
ANC-6090 for MIDI Control In a typical application for the ANC-6090, the adapter is plugged into a PC's RS232C serial 9-pin comport and the output is converted into differential RS422 levels. The Antona 6000 series adapters are just as useful in converting an RS422 interface signal from an RS422 based serial port, like on a Silicon Graphics Computer or Apple Computer, into the bipolar level for controlling an RS232C peripheral. An application example for controlling an RS232C serial MIDI device from an SGI computer has been written by Kevin Scott at the Georgia Institute of Technology detailing how to implement such an interface with our adapter.
